If you encounter an unknown AirTag, set of AirPods, Find My network accessory, or compatible Bluetooth location tracking device, use the steps below to learn about it, find it, and disable it.
If you see one of the following alerts on your iPhone or iPad, you may be traveling with an item that’s compatible with the Find My network or a compatible Bluetooth location tracking device, and the owner can see its location.
An AirTag or Find My network accessory may be attached to the item you’re borrowing, or you’ll get this warning if you’re borrowing someone else’s AirPods. If you borrow an AirTag or other Find My network-compatible item from a member of your Family Sharing group, you can turn off alerts for that item for a day or indefinitely.

If you get an alert that you’re traveling with an AirTag, a set of AirPods, a Find My network accessory, or a compatible Bluetooth location tracking device, follow these steps to find it. First, check the Find My app to see if you can play sound on an unknown accessory:
If the play sound option is unavailable, the item may no longer be with you. Or if he was with you overnight, his ID may have changed. Find My uses an identifier to determine if it’s the same item as yours. If the item is in range of its owner, you will also not be able to play the sound.

Apple Airtags: Everything You Need To Know
If you need to see a list of all AirTags, Find My Network accessories, and compatible Bluetooth location tracking devices that have been notified, launch the Find My app on your iPhone or iPad. Tap on things. Scroll to the bottom and tap the items found with you. Items that have recently triggered an unwanted tracking alert will be listed. If the play sound option is not available, the item may no longer be with you, may be close to its owner, or if it was with you overnight, its identifier may have changed.
To turn off an AirTag, a set of AirPods, a Find My network accessory, or a compatible Bluetooth location sharing device and stop sharing its location, tap the turn off instructions and follow the onscreen steps. Once an AirTag, a set of AirPods, a Find My network accessory, or a compatible Bluetooth location tracking device is turned off, the owner will no longer receive updates about their current location. You will also no longer receive unwanted tracking alerts on this unit.

Airtags & Privacy: What You Need To Know
Disabling Find My on your device, turning off Bluetooth, or turning off location services on your iPhone will not prevent the owner of an AirTag, AirPods, or Find My network accessory from being able to see the location of that AirTag or accessory. You must disable the item according to the instructions above.
